see ruby have fun with all the animals, learn where the term goatee comes from, and witness us melting in 100 degree heat. we are NOT tough. we are weak portlanders used to the rain.
she had a BLAST running amongst the animals and they all loved her. ruby liked the turkeys the best, we think. and the pigs, who had to wear sunscreen. they're bred to have white skin which burns terribly! they get SPF 50 several times a day to protect them. i don't think i have any pig pics in here. check back later.

a cool moment in the bunny barn. lots of unwanted rabbits are dropped off at farm sanctuary a couple months after easter. most don't like to be petted but we found a compliant one, here. so soft! ruby likes rabbits.

goatee?? yes! a goat with a beard!
this cow stands more than 6 feet tall, here he's laying down. he's old and his name is eugene. he was so pretty. really, his color and his big eyes. it was awesome to be around such a gentle, huge animal.
we hosed her down, she cried when we stopped.
