The very latest in the life.

here she is, miss ruby bird herself. look at that smile! she's playing with "guy", a gift from grammy & gramps in florida. she named him herself. i'm not kidding. he probably has a name but we don't get nickelodeon on our tv. so we have no idea. personally, i think guy is a nice name. it has a retro ring to it.


of course, the kitchen cabinets are empty now, except for ruby and max. who she calls "mac."
my pots and pans are now stacked oh-so-conveniently on top of the fridge. and mac is loving on "hugging elmo" who surprisingly, gives hugs. thanks, oma & opa, for the elmo doll! elmo and ruby and mac love you SO SO MUCH. soso much soso much, so goes the song....

being her adorable self on a breezy kansas day. the hat is from MY childhood. or was it mine or my mom's, i can't remember...this hat has been around for a long time, regardless.
this picture also proves that babies / kids look very good in black.


helping in the kitchen with oma. helping make lots of watery mess. we love messes.


ruby cleared off this little table at oma's house, it apparently looked like the perfect place to sit. i think she was playing poker with those cards....yes, playing poker with elmo.


her daddy, the artist in the family. this picture just melts my heart. she's so cute, and she's sporting her beads. every day is mardi gras with us.
